Microsoft VX3000 LifeCam – Code 19/39 Error

So Staples has placed all of their Microsoft VX3000 Webcams on sale for $19.99 (which is a real steal) I’ve spent the past 6 hours trying to get the sucker to work on my PC! Turns out the error I’m having has to do with my last Webcam (a logitech that gave me no issues but was my personal webcam.) even though I’d uninstalled the software.

Microsoft had the answer buried deep in their support pages and not high in the usual Google search results. so I’m placing a link here if you’re getting an Error code 19 or 39 on a Microsoft Lifecam. I guess that on christmas morning i might not be the only one who runs into this mess. For some fixes click here.
